Full-Stack Software Developer – AI Applications
About the role
Agnotix Systems is seeking a Full-Stack Software Developer – AI Applications (Contract) to help build, enhance, and maintain our in-house software applications. This is a hands-on development role combining full-stack web development with modern AI capabilities. The developer will work across frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and AI-powered features. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining scalable web applications; building responsive user interfaces and secure backend APIs; integrating third-party services and AI/LLM APIs; implementing AI-powered features such as intelligent search, workflow automation, document processing, assistants, summarization, and data extraction; managing databases and application integrations; implementing authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls; troubleshooting application and production issues; writing maintainable and secure code; participating in code reviews; maintaining technical documentation; and collaborating with Agnotix leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The developer will also be responsible for following secure development practices and protecting Agnotix Systems' source code, credentials, APIs, proprietary technology, confidential information, and application data. This is a contract position supporting Agnotix Systems' internal product and application development initiatives. Contract duration, compensation, expected hours, deliverables, confidentiality, intellectual property, and other terms will be established in the applicable written agreement. Requirements
• Experience developing full-stack web applications and production-quality software. • Strong knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript and modern frontend technologies such as React or Next.js. • Backend development experience using Node.js, Python, or similar technologies. • Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and third-party services. • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases. • Working knowledge of AI/LLM application development and integration with AI APIs. • Familiarity with prompt engineering, structured AI outputs, tool/function calling, embeddings, vector search, RAG, or AI workflow automation. • Understanding of authentication, authorization, RBAC, API security, and secure credential management. • Experience with Git, version control, testing, debugging, and deployment workflows. • Familiarity with cloud-hosted applications and production environments. • Ability to write clean, maintainable, documented, and secure code. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently while communicating progress, risks, and technical decisions clearly. • Ability to translate business and product requirements into practical technical solutions. • Must maintain confidentiality and appropriately protect company source code, credentials, customer/application data, and proprietary information. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical development experience.
